current project car. 2-door. Still plenty of metal work left on the cab. Initial work on the doors, hood, trunk lid, and other assorted parts has been completed. Jamco suspension package waiting for intallation.

History of this Vehicle

Vehicle was found near Ste. Rose Du Lac by a member of the Fabulous 50’s Ford Club of Manitoba. A suitable parts car was found in the Interlake near Teulon. Another parts car (a four door) was found near Minnedosa. The rolling chassis is being used for the 2-door project. It has been sandblasted and painted. 460 engine from a 1978 Lincoln has been installed for initial placement. It has not yet been rebuilt.

Plans for this Vehicle

Friend is currently frenching the headlights and doing other front fender repairs. The car will be built much in the same fashion of Mark Morton’s 54 Merc featured in Rod and Custom. However mine won’t have any side trim. Just the rear fender guards and spears that are being rechromed. Might use a 53 merc front bumper because I like the recessed round running lights. I have one that is in much better shape than the two 54 front bumpers I have. Also.. will go with the stock rear tail lights, rather than the frenched ones on Morton’s car. It will be chopped 3 inches. The door handles have been shaved. Much of the trim removed. Colour will be green with white top.
