I wanted to build a car that reflected what I like. It’s not a gasser and it’s not a rat rod. Everything on the body is edgy, from the chop to the finish. I want make people take a second look past the roughness. It has a custom built frame that I designed on Auto Cad. There is over 100 feet of welding in the main frame rails along. Suspension will be a in house straight axle with a drag race style torsion bar and spindle mount, magnesium Americans . Olds/Pontiac rearend and magnesium Halibrand wheels. The frame will be exposed in the interior as well as the drive train. Radiator will be in the rear. No grill shell, no water pump on the engine. I want this one to look like it doesn’t have enough stuff on it to make it run. Power will be a Dart blocked 540 and a Jerico, just like my Chevelle. I plan to sacrifice two Motion flyeye air cleaners for my crossram. I’ll either use a super cool Dragfast shifter or a Ramrod. It will not be practical in any area. But it will be the car that I picture in my head.
